The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a Performance and Partnerships Manager to support implementation of the Livestock CGIAR Research Program (CRP) AR4D model for delivering research outcomes and impacts.
ILRI works with partners worldwide to enhance the roles that livestock play in food security and poverty alleviation, principally in Africa and Asia. The outcomes of these research partnerships help people in developing countries keep their farm animals’ alive and productive, increase and sustain their livestock and farm productivity, find profitable markets for their animal products, and reduce the risk of livestock-related diseases. www.ilri.org

The CGIAR Research Program on Livestock seeks to focus research for development on transforming selected animal-source food value chains and livestock-based livelihood systems in developing countries to ensure the poor can use livestock-related opportunities to improve their livelihoods and nutritional security while protecting the environment. Led by ILRI, this USD40 million per annum program is a partnership of several CGIAR centres, universities and development agencies, with multiple collaborators from agricultural research and development communities around the world.
The incumbent will join a dynamic international team to implement the CGIAR Research Program on Livestock, and will be responsible for strengthening its performance management and supporting interdisciplinary research teams in the program’s target countries to be more effective and to engage with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.

Post location: The position is based at ILRI’s Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
Position level: The position level is 5B.
Duration: 3 years with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon individual performance and continued funding.
