Would you like to be involved at the highest levels and be able to influence outcomes? We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager at our site in Glascoed.
As a Finance Manager, you will be supporting the wider functions within the business to deliver the customers’ requirements whilst returning the required value to the shareholders.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to drive capital investment decisions and be involved in the bid activity decisions.
Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager will involve:
Leading a team of three direct reports ensuring development plans are executed
Monitoring the cost base financial performance for the IDT, ensuring full overhead recovery
Monitoring the financial performance of the delivery projects within the IDT ensuring business targets are met
Reviewing and challenging the key 5-year Integrated Business Plan (IBP) assumptions to meet board expectations
Providing financial input to and evaluating Capital Investment Proposals
Providing decision support to efficiency improvements, make vs. buy, workload planning and bid activities
Supporting and overseeing the Inventory Control process ensuring accuracy and integrity is maintained
Attending and presenting at internal contract reviews, challenging status updates and forecasts
Supporting reviews and challenging risk and opportunities register supporting the expected outturn of the project
Regular reviews including WIP balances, Advances, debtors, O’s & V’s and order book reconciliations
Your skills and qualifications as a Finance Manager:
Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or relevant equivalent
Experience of management and financial accounting
Skilled in use of investment appraisal techniques – MPV analysis
Strong commercial acumen is essential – customer understanding / knowledge of bid work
Experience of implementing Change Management
Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
Proven record of implementing and maintaining robust financial controls
Experience of Operations/Manufacturing environments ideally
Ideally have experience of capital investment analysis / sign offs
Experience of Project/Management Accountant position

Salary: £44 000+ Commensurate with experience
